Job Summary

Harsha School of Law is seeking a dedicated and academically competent Assistant Professor – Political Science to contribute to teaching, academic development, student mentoring, research, and institutional activities. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering quality instruction in Political Science and related subjects as per the prescribed curriculum and institutional academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Political Science and related subjects as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and other academic resources.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus as per the academic calendar.
- Conduct tutorials, discussions, seminars, presentations, and other interactive learning activities.
- Evaluate students through internal assessments, assignments, tests, presentations, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, internal assessment marks, and other required documentation.
- Mentor and guide students regarding academic progress, projects, seminars, and co-curricular activities.
- Encourage students to develop an understanding of Indian Constitution, political institutions, governance, public policy, political theory, international relations, and contemporary political issues, as applicable to the curriculum.
- Assist students in connecting Political Science concepts with legal studies and the functioning of democratic institutions.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, workshops, conferences, seminars, and institutional events.
- Contribute to curriculum development and improvement of teaching-learning methodologies.




- Undertake research activities and contribute to research publications, conferences, seminars, and academic projects.
- Support student activities, moot courts, debates, discussions, legal awareness programmes, and other academic initiatives wherever required.
- Coordinate with the Principal, faculty members, and administration for smooth academic functioning.
- Maintain professional discipline and comply with the rules, policies, and procedures of Harsha Institutions.
- Perform any other academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the Management / Principal from time to time.

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Political Science or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- NET / SLET / SET / Ph.D. as applicable and in accordance with prevailing UGC / university norms.
- Candidates with relevant teaching experience in a law college, university, or higher educational institution will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
