We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain our physical layer network architecture. You will be responsible for installing, terminating, and testing low-voltage copper and fiber systems that power our enterprise network.
Key Responsibilities
- Terminate, crimp, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A copper cabling using T568A/T568B standards.
- Install, dress, and label patch panels, server racks, and data closet components.
- Perform physical installation of network switches, routers, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
- Troubleshoot physical layer connectivity issues using Fluke network testers and continuity meters.
- Ensure all grounding and bonding of IT racks meet industry safety and ESD standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in structured cabling and network deployment.
- Proficiency with RJ45 crimping tools, punch-down tools, and wire maps.
- Robust understanding of basic networking (VLANs, TCP/IP) is a plus.
- Ability to read schematic floor plans and network topology diagrams.
