Sankhla Engineers Pvt Ltd is an established MEP and Electrical contracting company providing end-to-end engineering, design, installation, testing and commissioning solutions for industrial and commercial projects. The company executes turnkey MEP/Electrical and utility projects across automobile, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, chemical, textile, electronics, plastics, engineering and other industrial sectors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong MEP Project Engineer to manage and supervise the execution of industrial MEP projects from installation through testing and commissioning. The role involves site execution, manpower and contractor coordination, material planning, quality control, project documentation, client/PMC coordination and timely completion of assigned MEP works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Execution

- Plan, supervise and execute MEP works at industrial project sites.
- Ensure project activities are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and project schedule.
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities with project managers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and report deviations.
- Ensure proper sequencing and coordination between different MEP services.

2. MEP Installation & Coordination

- Supervise installation and execution of Mechanical, Electrical and Utility systems.
- Coordinate HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, substations, DG systems, LT/HT panels, cable trays, cabling, plant lighting, earthing and lightning protection.
- Coordinate HVAC & ducting, utility piping, plumbing, fire-fighting/hydrant/sprinkler systems and industrial process utilities.
- Coordinate with design teams to resolve site-level technical issues.

3. Testing & Commissioning

- Supervise testing and commissioning of installed MEP systems.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning inspections and system testing.
- Prepare and maintain testing/commissioning records.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and OEM/service teams during commissioning.
- Ensure proper handover of completed systems.

Drawing & Technical Coordination

- Read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, SLDs, shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the design team regarding drawing revisions and site requirements.
- Identify clashes, discrepancies and execution issues at site.
- Ensure installation is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.

5. Material & Manpower Management

- Coordinate project material requirements with procurement/stores.
- Monitor material availability and consumption at site.
- Ensure proper utilization and control of project materials.
- Coordinate manpower deployment according to project requirements.
- Supervise subcontractors, technicians, electricians, fitters and other site workforce.

6. Client / PMC Coordination

- Coordinate with client representatives, consultants and PMC teams.
- Attend site meetings and discuss technical/project execution matters.
- Resolve site queries and coordinate approvals wherever required.
- Maintain qualified communication with clients and stakeholders.

7. Quality & Safety

- Ensure MEP installation work meets approved quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Coordinate with the Safety Officer to ensure safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, permits and applicable requirements.
- Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective action.

8. Project Documentation

- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Maintain site measurement and work-progress records.
- Maintain inspection requests, testing reports and commissioning documents.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.
- Maintain records of material receipt, consumption and site activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE





- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / MEP Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in industrial MEP project execution.
- Strong hands-on experience in industrial/project-site execution.
- Experience in turnkey MEP/Electrical contracting projects will be preferred.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Technically sound and hands-on professional capable of independently handling site execution activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical coordination skills.
- Comfortable working at industrial project sites and coordinating contractors and site manpower.
- Good understanding of drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and client coordination skills.
- Willing to travel/stay at project sites as required.

SALARY & SELECTION Compensation will be determined based on relevant industrial MEP experience, technical expertise, project exposure and interview performance. Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period will be preferred.
