Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Loading Assistant to support our night-time courier operations at the Kochi Head Office, Kaloor. The candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and safely handling courier shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload courier shipments from vehicles.
- Handle parcels carefully to prevent damage.
- Arrange and stack shipments according to destination and route.
- Assist with shipment sorting and movement within the hub.
- Verify the number of parcels during loading and unloading.
- Ensure proper handling of fragile, liquid, and sensitive shipments.
- Support the operations team during night-shift activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the loading area.
- Follow company safety and operational guidelines.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Hub/Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in courier, logistics, warehouse, or loading/unloading work is preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of handling parcels.
- Willingness to work the night shift.
- Responsible, punctual, and disciplined.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of shipment sorting and handling is an advantage.
