Role Description The Junior Embedded Hardware & PCB Design Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Vijayawada West.
The engineer will assist in the design, development, testing, and debugging of embedded hardware and PCB-based systems for battery systems, power electronics, EV, and industrial applications.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Designing and reviewing electronic schematics.
- Selecting components based on electrical, performance, cost, and application requirements.
- Developing basic analog and digital circuits for sensing, signal conditioning, and power management.
- Designing and reviewing PCB layouts using standard PCB design tools.
- Supporting PCB stack-up, routing, grounding, and layout considerations for reliability and manufacturability.
- Building and testing hardware prototypes.
- Debugging circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment.
- Reading and interpreting datasheets, application notes, and technical documentation.
- Supporting hardware validation and troubleshooting.
- Documenting designs, test results, and engineering decisions.
- Working with senior engineers to improve and validate hardware designs.
- Collaborating with firmware and system engineers during hardware bring-up and integration.
- Supporting prototype development and system-level testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, ECE, or a closely related field.
- Strong fundamentals in electronic circuit design and electrical engineering.
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuit concepts.
- Basic knowledge of circuits for sensing, signal conditioning, and power management.
- Knowledge of PCB design and layout principles.
- Familiarity with at least one PCB/EDA tool such as Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics, datasheets, and application notes.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, and DC power supply.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively with hardware, firmware, and system-level engineering teams.
Good to Have / Plus
- Basic understanding of embedded systems or microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with STM32 or other microcontroller platforms.
- Basic knowledge of UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, or RS485.
- Exposure to embedded firmware or hardware–firmware integration.
- Understanding of basic RF/EMI/EMC and signal-integrity considerations.
- Exposure to battery systems, BMS, EV systems, or power electronics.
- Internship, academic project, or hands-on project experience involving PCB design or embedded hardware.
- Experience with PCB prototyping, soldering, rework, or hardware bring-up.
Who This Role is Suitable For
This role is suitable for a fresh graduate or junior engineer with a strong interest in electronics, PCB design, and hardware development who wants to gain practical experience working on real battery, EV, power electronics, and industrial engineering projects.
Embedded systems knowledge is an advantage, but the primary focus of the role is embedded hardware and PCB design.
