Freelance Network & Security Engineer (Project-Based / Onsite)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Network & Security Engineer for project-based and onsite support requirements. You will work across design, implementation, migration and troubleshooting activities for enterprise networks, taking solutions from architecture and documentation through to deployment and validation.

Responsibilities

- Design network and security solutions, including network architecture, solution design, HLD/LLD preparation and design validation
- Configure, implement and migrate switching, routing and firewall infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues independently, on site and remotely
- Support cutovers and migration activities, including planning and post-implementation validation
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for customer environments

Required skills and experience

- Solid hands-on experience with HPE Aruba switching
- Good experience with Juniper switching and routing
- Hands-on experience with Juniper firewalls / SRX




- Experience in network and security design, including solution design, network architecture, HLD/LLD preparation and design validation
- Configuration, troubleshooting, migration and implementation experience
- Good understanding of VLANs, STP, LACP, routing protocols, HA, firewall policies, NAT and VPN
- Ability to independently design, implement and troubleshoot network and security solutions
- Experience in enterprise/customer environments is preferred
