About Us

Horizon Bay Resort is a growing hospitality destination in Poovar, Kerala, offering comfortable accommodations, a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet and events, and exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Plan, develop, and update innovative menus for the restaurant, room service, and special events.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and taste standards.
- Supervise, train, motivate, and schedule kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Control food costs, wastage, and kitchen inventory.
- Manage purchasing, receiving, and storage of food supplies.
- Coordinate with the Front Office, Restaurant, and Banquet teams to ensure excellent guest service.
- Develop seasonal menus, buffet spreads, and special promotions.
- Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve dining experiences.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.

Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in hotel or resort kitchens, with at least 2 years as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
- Strong knowledge of South Indian,



North Indian, Continental, and buffet cuisine.
- Experience in banquet, event, and group catering is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen budgeting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.

- Creative menu planning and food presentation.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Experience with resort or hospitality operations is an advantage.
