? WE ARE HIRING | ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – SOLAR PV

Surya Standard Energy LLC is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer / Solar PV Design Engineer with strong expertise in AutoCAD, solar electrical design, interconnection plansets, and permit plansets for residential and commercial photovoltaic systems in the United States.

? Key Responsibilities• Prepare professional Solar PV Electrical & Permit Plansets

- Develop Utility Interconnection Plansets for U.S. utilities
- Prepare single-line diagrams, site plans, electrical layouts and equipment schedules
- Design PV systems in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable U.S. electrical codes
- Ensure plans comply with local AHJ permitting requirements
- Review utility requirements and incorporate corrections into plansets
- Prepare revisions based on utility/AHJ comments
- Coordinate with project, permitting and engineering teams
- Communicate with U.S. utilities, AHJs, EPCs, customers and other stakeholders

? Required Qualifications & Technical Skills• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Electrical Engineering degree — REQUIRED

- 3+ years of experience in U.S. Solar PV Electrical Design preferred
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
- Robust experience preparing Solar PV Permit Plansets
- Strong experience preparing Utility Interconnection Plansets
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and U.S. electrical standards
- Experience designing residential and commercial solar PV systems
- Knowledge of PV system sizing and electrical calculations
- Understanding of inverters, modules, rapid shutdown systems, disconnects, service equipment and electrical distribution
- Ability to interpret utility requirements and local AHJ requirements
- Ability to prepare accurate, professional and permit-ready electrical plansets
- Ability to review utility/AHJ comments and make technically correct revisions





Massachusetts Solar Experience — Highly PreferredExperience with Massachusetts solar permitting and interconnection is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of requirements associated with Eversource, National Grid, and other Massachusetts utilities, along with local AHJ/building department requirements, will be a significant advantage.

?️ English & U.S. Stakeholder Communication — REQUIRED• Excellent written and spoken English — REQUIRED

- Strong professional communication skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with U.S. clients, utilities, AHJs, EPCs and project stakeholders
- Ability to understand and respond professionally to technical comments and correction requests
- Comfortable communicating through email, meetings and phone/video calls with U.S.-based stakeholders
- Ability to clearly explain technical design decisions in English

? Ideal CandidateWe are looking for an engineer who can independently take a U.S. solar project from design requirements to a complete, accurate and permit-ready electrical planset with minimal supervision.
