About the Role

n

We are looking for a Node.js Backend Developer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in backend application development. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Microservices, databases, caching, APIs, and message queues.

n

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving scalable backend services and APIs while working closely with frontend developers and other engineering team members.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
n
- Develop scalable and reusable backend services following clean coding and OOP principles.
n
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.
n
- Build and maintain applications using a Microservices Architecture.
n




- Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL).
n
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
n
- Use Redis for caching, session management, and application performance improvements.
n
- Implement background jobs, queues, and asynchronous processing using BullMQ.
n
- Work with message brokers and event-driven systems using RabbitMQ and/or Apache Kafka.
n
- Develop reliable producer-consumer workflows and handle asynchronous communication between microservices.
n
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
n
- Implement proper error handling, logging, validation, authentication, and authorization.
n
- Debug and troubleshoot application, database, queue, and API-related issues.
n
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
n
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
n
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other team members.

- Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.

- Experience building event-driven or queue-based systems.

- Understanding of JWT or token-based authentication.

- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.

- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

- Understanding of design patterns and clean architecture principles.

- Knowledge of unit and integration testing is an advantage.

- Basic understanding of message delivery concepts such as retries, acknowledgements, dead-letter queues, and idempotency.

Experience & Qualifications

- 1–2 years of professional experience in backend or Node.js development.
n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

- Hands-on experience developing backend APIs and working with databases.
n
- Exposure to message queues or event-driven architecture is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
