Experience:
8+ Years preferred; relevant industry experience will be given higher preference
Candidates with experience in the same or closely related industry will be highly preferred, even if their total experience differs from the preferred range.
Roles:
Lead the complete Proposal & Estimation process.
Review customer enquiries, RFQs, tender documents and technical specifications.
Prepare accurate techno-commercial proposals and detailed cost estimates.
Understand project scope and prepare costing based on technical requirements.
Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Production, Projects and Sales teams for required inputs.
Prepare equipment, material, fabrication, subcontracting and project-related cost estimates.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing.
Identify project risks and prospects for cost optimization.
Ensure proposals meet customer requirements and technical specifications.
Ensure quotations are prepared and submitted within deadlines.
Maintain costing databases, estimation records and standard pricing sheets.
Support the Sales team during technical discussions, bid clarifications and customer meetings.
Work on value engineering to improve project competitiveness and profitability.
Manage and guide the Proposal & Estimation team.
Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
