Position: Technical writer (Semiconductor Domain)

Experience: 3 to 6 years

n

Work Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Requirements:

n

n
Excellent English language communication and written skills.
n
Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 to 6 years of technical writing experience.
n
Rich knowledge in Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC), structured authoring, content reuse, and single-sourcing.
n
Experience in the following content authoring, publishing, and governance tools: DITA-XML, OxygenXML Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Office, CCMS (Ixiasoft), Fluid Topics (Content Delivery Platform), SnagIt, Acrobat Pro, and ServiceNow helpdesk.
n
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different geographies, able to conduct online meetings in different time zones and collaborate comfortably with members of team from diverse cultures.
n
Ability to track tasks, actions and provide regular updates.
n
Ability to create and maintain tasks and documentation trackers.
n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
Develop and update technical documentation for end users and service engineers - User's Manual, Upgrade Procedure, Service Procedures, Site Prep, and Safety Manuals.
n




Conduct SME interviews with various users and technical/engineering/product staff to gather data for overly complex documentation for hardware applications.
n
AI in addition to DITA and OxygenXML
n
Interface with functional organizations to develop content for the procedures.
n
Create, develop, and edit operational, instructional, or maintenance procedures for the software applications.
n
Follow documentation best practices, formats, and templates, and publish output that conforms to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
n
Support testing and validation of recent procedures and methods.
n
Involve stakeholders from various departments and assess the need to update documentation.
n
Monitor content quality errors, editorial suggestions, technical changes requested and implement the changes independently.
n
