Job Title- Senior Mainframe Developer with Supra DB

Key responsibilities
Provide advanced technical analysis and development for the LIFE3 application, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance optimization.
Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe programs and scripts using COBOL, JCL, SUPRA, CICS, and other relevant technologies.
Ensure secure application design and development practices are followed with walkthroughs and code reviews.
Ability to multi-task and make priority calls when required.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and implement system enhancements.
Being Client focused and able to communicate at a business level (you should be able discuss technical matters with non-technical people).
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business units, infrastructure teams, and external vendors
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for LIFE3-related incidents, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
Document and share knowledge to improve team efficiency and reduce recurring issues.




Ensure compliance with Clients IT security policies and industry regulations.
Proactively seek current challenges and be able to upskill yourself in the newer technologies if needed.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
Join overnight support roster and handle primary/secondary callout. Available for after hours support when required eg; Enterprise releases.

Key to your success
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR
Multiple years of experience in mainframe development and support, with a focus on LIFE3 or similar insurance systems.
Proven expertise in COBOL, JCL, SUPRA, CICS, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies.
Strong understanding of group life insurance processes and products.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for mainframe environments is a plus.
