Job Description

The proposed resource will provide technical leadership and support across Veeam, Commvault, Dell PPDM, and Cloud Backup technologies, ensuring service continuity, project delivery, and operational stability.

Primary knowledge of the Backup tools is mandatory (e.g. VEEAM, Commvault, PPDM, Cloud backup).
n
Secondary knowledge of the Storage is mandatory (e.g. NetApp, Dell Power etc.)
n
Good understanding of storage architecture/zoning/capacity management/migration/DR.
n
Expert in Veeam, Commvault backup architecture/flow including Storage Policy/Library/Media Agent/Upgrade/Failure-Troubleshooting etc.
n
Knowledge on various backup types such are Cloud backup, File/Server Backup, Exchange archival, BareMetal Backup, Database Backup, Virtual Host Backup, and system restores.
n
Resolution of backup/recovery service disruptions and implementation of preventative measures.
n
Identify & perform backup setting system tuning
n
Schedule management, Adhoc backup request execution, monitor all backups timely and able troubleshooting issue

Perform routine disaster recovery scenarios
n
Troubleshoot Replication errors
n
Maintain backup policies and standards
n
Maintain all equipment for backup workplace to include servers, disk, and tape storage devices
n
Performs continuous research and audits to ensure continuous and high levels of performance, security and availability of network and operating systems and peripheral devices.

Vendor management
n
Provide all tier operational support of storage settings, maintaining ownership and a deep technical knowledge
n
Able to troubleshoot complex storage problems and provide cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements and SLAs.
n
Good understanding of storage and SAN switches
n
Must have detailed knowledge of RAID, SCSI, SAN, and NAS. Experience with iSCSI is a plus.
