We are looking for a compassionate and responsible psychiatric nurse to join our mental healthcare team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in psychiatric nursing or have completed a recognised certification/course in Psychiatric Nursing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and support to patients with various mental health conditions.
Assess patients' physical and mental health needs and monitor their progress.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the psychiatrist/doctor.
Monitor patients for changes in behavior, mood, and overall condition.
Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized patient care plans.
Build supportive and therapeutic relationships with patients.
Handle psychiatric emergencies and follow appropriate safety protocols.
Coordinate with psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists,
and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medication, and ongoing care.
Maintain a protected, respectful, and patient-centered workplace.
Experience:1 to 6 years of experience in Psychiatric Nursing / mental health nursing.
Candidates who have completed a recognized certification/course in psychiatric nursing may also be considered.
Valid nursing registration is mandatory.
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally mature approach.
Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, if required.
Preferred candidate profile
Knowledge of psychiatric nursing procedures and patient safety.
Ability to manage challenging patient behaviours calmly and professionally.
Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary mental healthcare team.
