Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure GCP environments and cloud workloads.
Configure and manage GCP IAM policies, roles, service accounts, and least-privilege access controls.
Implement network security controls including VPC security, firewall rules, private access, and secure connectivity patterns.
Enable and manage security monitoring, logging, and alerting using GCP-native tools such as Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Security Command Center.
Support compliance and governance requirements by implementing security baselines, guardrails, and policy controls across GCP settings.
Use Terraform to build, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and repeatable cloud infrastructure.
Partner with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to embed security into cloud design, deployment, and operations.
Identify security gaps, recommend remediation actions, and support incident response and risk reduction efforts.
Ensure adherence to cloud security best practices,
organizational standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in GCP cloud engineering or cloud security.
Strong experience with GCP security services and core security concepts.
Hands-on expertise in IAM, network security, monitoring, and compliance controls in GCP.
Robust working knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience securing cloud workloads, storage, compute, and network resources in GCP.
Familiarity with cloud security frameworks, policies, and risk management practices.
Positive understanding of logging, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security operations in cloud environments.
