Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Design and development of core engine components.
Work on 5C components Cylinder Head, Cylinder Block, Crankshaft, Connecting Rod and Camshaft.
Develop and review 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
Perform design calculations, tolerance stack-up and GD&T.;
Support recent product development and engineering changes.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, testing and supplier teams.
Support design validation, prototype development and production launch.
Perform design optimization for cost, weight, performance and manufacturability.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement engineering solutions.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of IC Engine / Diesel / Petrol Engine fundamentals.




Experience in engine core component design.
Positive knowledge of GD&T;, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis and material selection.
Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as CATIA V5 / NX / Creo.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining and heat treatment.
Understanding of engine testing and validation is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
Candidates from Automotive OEMs, Engine Manufacturers, Tier-1 suppliers and Powertrain Engineering companies are preferred.
