Key Responsibilities
Provide L1 support and administration for Linux/Unix servers.
Monitor server availability, CPU, memory, disk utilization, processes, and system health.
Perform basic troubleshooting of Linux OS, services, applications, and connectivity issues.
Handle user and group administration, including creation, modification, and access management.
Manage file systems, permissions, ownership, mounts, and disk space.
Start, stop, restart, and monitor Linux services.
Review and analyze system/application logs for initial issue identification.
Perform basic troubleshooting related to SSH, DNS, FTP/SFTP, networking, and connectivity.
Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshoot Cron jobs.
Support server patching, package installation,



and routine maintenance activities.
Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational checklists.
Create and update incident/service requests in the ticketing system.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper troubleshooting details.
Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management.
Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base articles.
Participate in shift-based support and rotational on-call activities, if required.
