Role & responsibilities :
Perform thermal and mechanical design calculations for various types of heat exchangers, including Shell & Tube, Plate Heat Exchangers, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, and Radiators.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.
Conduct heat transfer and fluid flow analysis using industry standards and design software.
Design products in compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, PED, and customer-specific requirements.
Select suitable materials based on operating conditions, pressure, temperature, and corrosion requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful product development.
Review customer specifications and provide technical solutions.
Perform design validation, FEA, CFD, and performance optimization activities.
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for field and manufacturing issues.
Participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and design standardization initiatives.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, and Fluid Mechanics.
Experience in thermal and mechanical design of heat exchangers.
Proficiency in design software such as HTRI, Aspen EDR, PV Elite, Compress, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, or Inventor.
Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, TEMA, API standards, and pressure vessel codes.
Understanding of GD&T;, fabrication processes, and material specifications.
Valuable analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
