People Force is searching for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with Azure / Cypress for a contract role. This is an offshore remote position

Note: Candidates must be comfortable working EST hours, available for a 6-month contract, and able to join within a maximum notice period of 2 weeks.

Senior QA Automation Engineer with Azure / Cypress

Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong Cypress-first web automation, Appium mobile automation, and experience operating in an Azure-native, microservices-based setting.
This is a hands-on role requiring ownership of quality across web, mobile, and APIs, with the ability to embed directly into engineering teams and drive automation strategy.

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)
Web Automation (Primary)
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for E2E testing
- Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience designing stable, maintainable test frameworks
- Page Object Model or component-based patterns




- Robust selector strategies (data-test IDs, avoiding brittle selectors)
- Proven ability to debug and stabilize flaky tests

Mobile Automation
- Hands-on Appium experience for Android and iOS
- Experience testing Flutter-based mobile applications
- Familiarity with device clouds (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)

API Testing & Automation
- Strong REST API testing fundamentals
- Experience with Postman/Newman or equivalent
- Comfortable validating authentication, pagination, idempotency, error handling, and contract adherence

Azure-Native CI/CD
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows
- Experience with test stages, quality gates, artifacts, reporting, and environment-aware execution
