Engineering in mechanical for home office QC engineer category of piping, rotary, static, package QC engineer. Work experiences of more than 10 years to 12 years for oil gas / petrochemical facility, chemical, power plant.
Responsibilities
Review of requisitions and technical bid evaluation/clarification, participating in the KOM.
Preparation of Request for Inspection and coordination in overseas offices.
Review and approval of vendor's QC documents such as inspection procedure, ITP (Inspection and Test Plan), NDE procedure, PWHT procedure, and WPS/PQR.
Chairing the PIM (Pre-Inspection Meeting) for critical orders.
Instructions/Coordination for shop inspection activities with shop inspectors and review of inspection reports from shop inspectors.
Coordination of non-conformance for disposition and corrective actions with discipline engineers.
Confirmation of IRC (Inspection Release Certificate).
Approval of vendor's Manufacturing Data Book (MRB).
Supervises and guides checking of the work by QC engineers.
Supports/assists PQCM/Deputy PQCM in managing execution of QC activities.
As a QC Engineer it is expected that the role will contribute to the mentoring and training of QC engineers within the department.
Selected candidate needs to work at overseas office 2 years initially.
Requirements
ASNT, CSWIP, PCN or equivalent NDE certificate with minimum level 2 (for NDE QCE).
Added advantage of welding and painting CSWIP certificate.
Comprehension of related codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, API, NACE, and ISO.
