Senior Shipping Engineer

Position Summary

Responsible for managing end-to-end domestic and export shipping operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant dispatch of finished goods. Coordinate closely with CSR, Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, Finance, Sales, freight forwarders and CHA to achieve OTIF/OTD targets.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily dispatch and shipment activities based on customer requirements and production schedules.
Manage domestic & export shipments, including shipment planning and documentation.
Coordinate with CSR and freight forwarders for forwarder confirmation and shipment execution based on Incoterms.
Prepare and verify Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, E-Way Bill, Delivery Challan and export documents.
Coordinate with CHA, Customs, freight forwarders, transporters and shipping lines.
Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules and OTIF/OTD performance.
Ensure compliance with Customs, DGFT, GST and international shipping regulations.
Verify packaging, labeling, quantity, part numbers and shipping documents before dispatch.




Monitor freight costs, shipment delays, damages, shortages and documentation issues.
Prepare MIS, logistics KPI and freight reports.
Drive Lean / Kaizen / 5S and logistics process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Logistics / Supply Chain / Operations.
5–10 years of experience in Shipping / Logistics / Dispatch / Export / Supply Chain.
Manufacturing experience preferred, especially Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Connectors / Cables / Engineering products.
Solid knowledge of Export/Import documentation, Customs clearance and Freight Forwarding.
Experience with SAP / QAD preferred.
Robust MS Excel, MIS & KPI reporting skills.
