Job Summary

The Cisco Wireless Platform team builds the foundational embedded software that powers Cisco s wireless products. We work closely with hardware, system architecture, test, and product teams to bring up current platforms, enable core subsystems, and deliver reliable, high-performance software at scale. Our work spans platform bring-up, low-level software development, system integration, and product readiness for enterprise wireless solutions.

Your Impact

As a Full-Stack Wireless Software Engineer, you will contribute to building and validating wireless features across the stack-from access points to controllers and management systems. This is a full development and test role, where you will own features from implementation through validation and automation.

In this role:
Develop and integrate wireless features across AP, controller, and management layers
Write and maintain software in C/C++ and scripting languages (Python)
Design and execute test plans, and develop automation for feature validation
Analyze logs, packet traces, and system behavior to debug issues




Reproduce issues and validate fixes across system components
Set up and use lab environments for testing wireless scenarios
Collaborate with platform, radio, QA, and cloud teams

Minimum Qualifications
MS + ~3 years or BS + ~5 years of experience
Robust programming skills in C/C++ and Python
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and Wi-Fi (802.11 basics)
Experience or strong interest in testing, automation, and system validation
Robust debugging and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with WPA2/WPA3 security
Exposure to wireless controllers or cloud-managed networking systems
Experience with tools like Wireshark
