Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Application Engineer to act as the Technical Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Aerospace and Defence laboratories. The role involves partnering closely with Defence customers, understanding their simulation workflows and technical challenges, and coordinating ANSYS capabilities and CADFEM expertise to deliver consistent, high-quality technical engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical SPOC for assigned Aerospace Defence accounts, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
Develop a solid understanding of customer program goals, simulation workflows, and infrastructure.
Position the ANSYS Multi-physics portfolio in alignment with defence requirements across structures, fluids, electronics, and systems.
Coordinate technical engagements across presales, support, consulting, and training teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Lead technical discussions, discovery sessions, and periodic reviews with customer engineering teams.
Ensure timely follow-up, quality responses, and effective handling of technical queries or escalations.
Identify prospects for advanced simulation workflows,



cross-physics coupling, and expanded adoption within Aerospace and Defence laboratories.

Requirements
Masters in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, or engineering related disciplines
48 YoE in application engineering, technical consulting, or simulation-driven roles, preferably in defence, space or aerospace domains.
Robust working knowledge of engineering simulation workflows using ANSYS or equivalent tools across one or more physics domains.
Experience engaging with large RD organizations, government labs, or mission-driven programs is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with scientists, engineers, and program leads.
Proven ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams and manage parallel engagements with high autonomy and ownership.
