Job Description

Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure across enterprise/data center settings
Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP (as applicable)
Manage switching technologies: VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, LACP, trunking
Handle advanced troubleshooting for network outages, latency, packet loss, and asymmetric routing issues
Implement and support high availability and redundancy solutions (HSRP, VRRP, MLAG, VSX, VSS)
Work closely with firewall and security teams (FortiGate, Check Point, F5 preferred)
Perform network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization
Support WAN, MPLS, Internet and VPN connectivity
Manage and troubleshoot load balancers (F5 LTM ? preferred)
Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and root cause analysis (RCA)
Create and maintain network documentation,



diagrams, and SOPs
Provide L3/L4 escalation support and mentor L1/L2 engineers
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards

Technical Skills:
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, ARP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP
Routing: OSPF, BGP (route filtering, redistribution, path selection)
Switching: VLAN, STP, EtherChannel, MAC learning
Network troubleshooting using packet capture and CLI tools
Experience with Cisco, Dell switches/routers
High availability protocols: HSRP / VRRP

Qualifications:

B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. (ECE/EEE/CS/IT) with 3+ years of relevant experience in Network Routing and Switching with a valid CCNA or higher certifications.
