KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage day-to-day DB2 z/OS Administration & Production Support
- Perform DB Refresh, Backup, Recovery and DR/RR Dump Generation activities
- Troubleshoot DB2 issues related to application workflows, jobs and automation
- Support DB2 V12 to V13 Upgrade, integration, testing and cutover activities
- Assess DB2 subsystem readiness and resolve V12/V13 compatibility issues
- Work extensively on Rundeck Automation, including jobs, scripts, plugins and workflows
- Design, configure and support Backup/Standby Rundeck environments
- Manage automation job migration, synchronization and version control using Git
- Identify and replace legacy Reflection-based automation with supported solutions
- Reverse engineer and document end-to-end workflows across Rundeck, DB2, z/OS and downstream systems
- Support Backup, Restore, Failover and Disaster Recovery activities and testing
- Assess z/OS lifecycle and supportability and recommend remediation/upgrades
- Prepare SOPs, Operational Runbooks, Technical Documentation and Troubleshooting Guides




- Coordinate with IBM Support and handle technical issues/PMR-related activities
- Conduct Knowledge Transfer and Cross-Training to reduce single-person dependency
- Act as a DB2/z/OS SME and provide technical guidance to the wider team

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

8–12 years of relevant experience in IBM DB2 on z/OS
Strong hands-on experience in DB2 Administration & Production Support
Strong knowledge of DB2 Utilities, JCL, Jobs and Troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with DB2 V12 & V13
Experience in DB2 Upgrade & Integration Activities
Strong knowledge of DB2 Backup, Recovery, DR & Failover
Hands-on experience with Rundeck / Automation / Orchestration
Experience with Automation Scripts and Workflow Management
✅ Knowledge of Git / Version Control
✅ Solid understanding of IBM z/OS environments
✅ Experience working in Enterprise / Production-Critical environments

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
