Position: Jr. Design Engineer – Steel Fabrication.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Jr. Design Engineer with knowledge of fabrication design to join our team.Job Responsibilities & Required Skills:-We are looking for a Production Engineer with experience in the steel fabrication industry who can manage shop-floor production, drawing interpretation, material planning, inspection, and coordination with clients and internal departments.Key Responsibilities :-Technical Drawing: Ability to read, understand, and interpret fabrication/engineering drawings.Material Planning: Prepare material requirements/negatives based on the BOM (Bill of Materials) and project drawings.Steel Fabrication Materials: Positive knowledge of materials commonly used in the steel fabrication industry.GRN: Knowledge of GRN (Goods Receipt Note) preparation and material receipt documentation.AutoCAD 2D: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, including preparation of laser-cutting layouts as per drawing requirements.Inspection: Inspect fabricated jobs/components as per approved drawings and specified requirements.Measuring Instruments: Working knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier caliper,



micrometer, measuring tape, height gauge, etc.Production Planning: Plan and prioritize shop-floor work based on available manpower, machines, materials, and project deadlines.Client Coordination: Communicate with clients and resolve drawing-related technical issues and clarifications.Documentation: Understand and maintain project documentation such as QAP (Quality Assurance Plan), painting specifications, inspection documents, and related records.Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Quality, Stores, Projects, and other departments to ensure timely project completion.Preferred Candidate ProfileDiploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or a related engineering discipline.Experience in steel fabrication / structural fabrication / industrial fabrication preferred.Good understanding of fabrication processes and shop-floor activities.Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.Good communication and problem-solving skills
