Position: Associate Consultant – Adult Cardiology

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage adult patients presenting with various cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and formulate appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Manage patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and other cardiovascular disorders.
- Interpret ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and other relevant cardiac investigations.
- Perform and/or assist with appropriate cardiology procedures as per clinical competency and hospital protocols.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
- Participate in emergency cardiac care and respond to critical cardiac cases when required.
- Coordinate with intensivists, physicians, surgeons, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, and preventive cardiac care.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical guidelines, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Participate in academic activities, case discussions, clinical audits, and continuing medical education programmes.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
