A Furniture Foreman supervises the fabrication, installation, finishing, and quality of interior furniture work at the workshop and project site.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise carpenters, furniture installers, and helpers.
- Read and understand furniture drawings, BOQs, and site measurements.
- Coordinate with interior designers, project managers, and site engineers.
- Ensure wardrobes, kitchens, doors, panels, cabinets, and custom furniture are made as per drawings.
- Check dimensions, alignment, finishing, hardware, and overall quality.
- Plan daily manpower and allocate work to the team.
- Coordinate material requirements with stores/procurement.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Identify and resolve fabrication or installation issues at site.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper use of tools and machinery.
- Check completed work before handing it over to the project manager/client.
Typical skills: Furniture/carpentry knowledge, drawing interpretation, site supervision, manpower management, measurement skills, and knowledge of materials such as plywood, MDF, veneer, laminates, acrylic, hardware, and solid wood.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
