We are looking for a responsible and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the company’s accounts and finance activities.
Knowledge and practical experience of accounting work
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries and financial records.
- Handle accounting work and ensure all entries are updated accurately.
- Maintain purchase, sales, cash, bank, journal and ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain GST-related records, invoices and documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Check bills, vouchers, invoices and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounts records.
- Assist in preparation of monthly reports and MIS.
- Coordinate with purchase, stores, HR and other departments regarding accounting requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.
- Assist in salary, expenses and other payment-related accounting work.
- Support the senior management/Accounts Head during audits and financial reviews.
- Ensure accounting entries are accurate,
timely and properly supported by documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
Required Skills
- Mandatory: Good knowledge and practical experience of accounting work/software.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Eligibility
- B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Candidates with experience in accounting work will be preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, poultry, feed mill, agriculture or similar industries will be an added advantage.
