Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹100,000 per month
Days Off: Saturday & Sunday

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically strong UK Accountant to join our team as a Senior VAT & Accounts Reviewer.

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of UK accounting experience, be ACA/ACCA/CA qualified, and have strong knowledge of UK accounting, VAT and taxation laws.

The primary responsibility will be to review VAT returns, accounts and bookkeeping prepared by the team, identify errors and provide technical guidance to ensure a high standard of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and approve UK VAT returns before submission.
- Review bookkeeping and year-end accounts for accuracy and completeness.
- Check VAT treatment, reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other accounting adjustments.
- Identify accounting and VAT errors and ensure they are corrected.
- Review Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the accounting team.
- Identify recurring mistakes and help improve the team's quality of work.
- Deal with complex accounting and VAT queries.
- Communicate with team professionally where required.
- Stay up to date with UK accounting, VAT laws and HMRC requirements.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of UK accounting experience
- ACA / ACCA / CA / CPA qualified.
- Strong and up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting and VAT laws.
- Previous experience in reviewing VAT returns and accounts.
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel – this is a mandatory requirement.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English - this is a mandatory requirement.
- Confident in dealing with clients and explaining technical matters.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar software is desirable.
