Tool Room Operator

Position: Tool Room Operator
Experience: 3–4 Years
Department: Tool Room / Manufacturing

Job Summary

- We are looking for an experienced Tool Room Operator with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in tool room operations, machine handling, tool maintenance, and precision component manufacturing. The candidate should be able to operate conventional/tool room machines and read engineering drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain tool room machines such as lathe, milling, grinding, drilling, and surface grinding machines.
- Manufacture and modify tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and precision components as per drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
- Perform setting, measuring, inspection, and correction of components.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, dial gauge, and bore gauge.
- Ensure components are produced within specified dimensional tolerances.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machines.
- Maintain proper records of tools, components, machine activities,



and maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the tool room.
- Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Fitter, Machinist,
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of conventional machining operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T; basics.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of cutting tools, machining parameters, and tool materials.
- Ability to work independently and meet production schedules.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with CNC/VMC machines is an advantage.
- Knowledge of tool, die, mould, jig, and fixture manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming or machine setting will be an added advantage.

Employment Type: Full time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
