P. P. Savani CFE is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused SST (Social Science) Teacher to teach Classes 8 to 10. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge and the ability to make concepts in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics engaging, relevant, and easy to understand.

The teacher will be responsible for delivering effective classroom instruction, developing students' analytical and critical-thinking skills, preparing them for examinations, and supporting their overall academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging SST lessons for Classes 8 to 10.
- Teach History, Geography, Civics/Political Science, and Economics as applicable to the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, assignments, projects, and teaching resources.
- Explain concepts using real-life examples, current affairs, maps, visuals, discussions, and activity-based learning.
- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical reasoning, interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular tests, quizzes, assessments, and remedial sessions.
- Prepare students effectively for school examinations and academic assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and individual academic support to students.
- Develop students' map-reading, interpretation, and geographical skills.
- Encourage classroom discussions, debates, presentations, and project-based learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and academic progress.
- Use appropriate digital tools and technology to enhance classroom learning.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined,



and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with coordinators and fellow teachers to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress whenever required.
- Participate in school meetings, workshops, events, projects, and other academic activities.
- Support students in developing awareness of society, democracy, citizenship, culture, and the world around them.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Science / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics or a relevant field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Prior teaching experience with Classes 8 to 10 will be an advantage.
- Robust command of the SST/Social Science curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
- Good understanding of assessment and student-learning practices.
