About the Role

Mighty Machines is looking for a Production Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing and production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality standards, achieving production targets, and improving operational efficiency.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in production planning, shop-floor coordination, manpower management, and troubleshooting manufacturing-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure production schedules are followed and coordinate with relevant departments to avoid delays.
- Supervise shop-floor activities and ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Monitor production output, productivity, and rejection rates.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, machine-related issues, and process deviations.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Purchase teams for uninterrupted production.
- Maintain daily production reports, downtime records, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Monitor material availability and minimize material wastage.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce rejection, and improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with the maintenance team when required.
- Train and guide operators on production processes, safety, and quality requirements.




- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Ensure production activities comply with company quality and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, shop-floor operations, and manufacturing practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and process improvement techniques.
- Basic knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage production priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in CNC / VMC / machining / fabrication / assembly / precision manufacturing will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems and production tracking software.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
- Experience in handling production teams and meeting daily output targets.
