About Dofy

Dofy is a re-commerce company that purchases used smartphones and gadgets directly from customers. Customers complete an online device assessment, receive a quote, and schedule a doorstep pickup. Our riders inspect and collect the devices, while the Operations Executive monitors the complete order and makes important operational and pricing decisions.

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced Operations Executive to manage active buyback orders, coordinate with riders and customers, review device-condition mismatches, approve re-quotes, and ensure successful pickup and payment completion.

This is primarily a decision-making and operations-control role. It is not a field rider position.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor all Open and In Progress orders through the Dofy admin panel.
- Track automatically assigned orders and ensure riders accept leads on time.
- Follow up with riders at every mandatory stage:
- Order accepted
- Customer contacted
- Pickup confirmed
- Rider en route
- Customer reached
- Device inspection
- Documentation
- Payment completion
- Contact riders when an order is delayed or an SLA is missed.
- Reschedule or reassign orders when required.
- Review device model, variant, storage, IMEI, and condition mismatches reported by riders.
- Compare:
- Customer’s original device details and assessment
- Rider’s actual inspection results
- Original customer quote
- System-generated revised quote
- Customer-requested amount
- Review device photographs, search-check codes, IMEI details,



condition answers, and rider notes.
- Approve the customer-requested price, retain the system price, provide a counteroffer, reject the request, or escalate it to a manager.
- Ensure every pricing decision protects company margins and follows approval limits.
- Communicate the approved final price clearly to the rider.
- Coordinate with customers during price negotiation or pickup issues.
- Verify that mandatory customer documents, ID proof, bill, device photographs, consent, and signature have been collected.
- Coordinate with the payment team and monitor payment status, UTR number, transfer proof, and payment screenshot.
- Handle failed, cancelled, rescheduled, and customer-rejected orders.
- Maintain accurate notes and complete audit records in the admin panel.
- Prepare daily reports covering pickups, completions, cancellations, re-quotes, rider delays, and pending payments.

Mandatory Industry Experience

Candidates must have direct working experience in at least one of the following:

- Used mobile or gadget buyback
- Recommerce operations
- Refurbished mobile business
- Smartphone valuation or grading
- Doorstep mobile pickup operations
- Mobile retail operations involving used-device purchases
- Rider or field-executive coordination for device collection

Candidates without relevant mobile buyback, recommerce, refurbished-device, or device-valuation experience may not be shortlisted.

Required Knowledge and Skills





- Good knowledge of smartphone brands, models, variants, RAM, storage, and specifications.
- Ability to identify model, configuration, and IMEI mismatches.
- Understanding of common mobile conditions such as:
- Screen cracks and scratches
- Display or touch problems
- Back-panel and frame damage
- Battery-health issues
- Camera, speaker, microphone, network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, charging-port, and button problems
- Experience with device grading, pricing, deductions, re-quotes, and margin calculation.
- Strong rider follow-up and customer-negotiation skills.
- Ability to make quick and commercially responsible decisions.
- Comfortable using CRM, ERP, admin panels, Excel, and WhatsApp.
- Good spoken Tamil and English.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple active orders.

Education

Any degree or diploma is acceptable. Relevant industry experience and practical knowledge of used smartphones will be given greater importance.

Compensation

Salary will be based on relevant experience, device knowledge, and operational ability. Performance incentives will be provided according to company policy.
