Responsible for providing Level-2 support for the BMC Control-M scheduling environment, ensuring successful execution of batch workloads, troubleshooting job failures, maintaining Control-M infrastructure, and supporting change, incident, and problem management activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and manage Control-M batch jobs and workflows in a 24x7 workplace.
- Investigate and resolve job failures, late submissions, long-running jobs, and scheduling issues.
- Perform Control-M agent installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Control-M calendars, scheduling rules, and batch dependencies.
- Support application teams with job execution requests, modifications, and scheduling changes.
- Perform incident, problem, and change management activities using ITSM tools.
- Monitor EM Servers, Control-M Agents, and related infrastructure components.
- Support Control-M failover/fallback activities and disaster recovery exercises.
- Perform security patching, SSL certificate updates, and vulnerability remediation for Control-M components.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
- Work with application, database, Linux/Windows, and middleware teams for issue resolution.

Technical Skills

- BMC Control-M Administration and Scheduling.
- Control-M Enterprise Manager (EM),



Control-M Server, and Agents.
- Job scheduling, dependencies, cyclic jobs, calendars, SMART folders.
- Batch monitoring and production support.
- Unix/Linux administration basics.
- Shell scripting or PowerShell.
- SQL fundamentals for troubleshooting.
- ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
- Knowledge of high availability, failover, and DR concepts.

Preferred Skills

- Control-M Automation API.
- Ansible or automation tools.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Monitoring tools such as Geneos, Moogsoft, Splunk, or similar.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in Control-M administration and batch scheduling support.
- Experience in large enterprise production environments.
