Job Description: Lecturer – Electrical Engineering

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

To deliver quality technical education in Electrical Engineering, develop students' theoretical and practical competencies, and contribute to the academic, research, and laboratory development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions on subjects such as Electrical Circuit Theory, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Measurements & Instrumentation, Switchgear & Protection, and Renewable Energy Systems
- Prepare lesson plans, course outlines, and instructional materials aligned with curriculum requirements
- Conduct practical/lab classes (Electrical Machines lab, Power Systems lab, Simulation lab, etc.) and ensure secure handling of electrical equipment
- Use design/simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical) and e-learning platforms to enhance teaching

Assessment & Evaluation

- Design and conduct internal assessments, assignments, and examinations
- Evaluate practical work, lab records, and project reports fairly and promptly
- Maintain accurate academic records and student performance data
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve

Student Mentorship

- Guide students on academic matters, career paths, and skill enhancement
- Supervise minor/major projects, industrial training, and internships
- Encourage participation in technical fests, design competitions, and robotics/automation events
- Act as mentor/counselor for assigned student groups

Curriculum & Academic Development

- Contribute to curriculum design, review, and updates based on industry trends (smart grids,



renewable energy, automation)
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into teaching
- Participate in Board of Studies meetings and academic committees
- Develop question banks, e-content, and study materials

Administrative & Institutional Duties

- Maintain lab/workshop discipline, electrical safety standards, and equipment/inventory records
- Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training programs
- Support departmental activities, accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC), and audits
- Perform invigilation and examination-related duties
- Coordinate industrial visits, guest lectures, and technical training programs

Research & Career development (if applicable)

- Publish research papers in journals/conferences
- Guide student research and design projects
- Pursue continuous professional development (certifications, FDPs, workshops on new technologies like EVs, smart grids, IoT)

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree (M.Tech/M.E.) in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering

Experience

- Fresh graduates to 2+ years for Junior Lecturer
- 2–5+ years of teaching/industry experience for Senior Lecturer roles

Skills & Competencies

- Strong subject knowledge in electrical machines, power systems, and control systems
- Proficiency in simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, PSpice)
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and lab instruments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and adaptability
- Good interpersonal skills for student mentoring

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
