JOB SUMMARY

Catalyst Education is looking for a Senior Academic Counsellor who can guide students and parents toward the right educational and career programs while driving admissions and achieving revenue targets.

The ideal candidate should have solid academic counselling, sales conversion, communication, negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-management skills, preferably with prior EdTech or education-sales experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, and educational programs.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs.
- Handle leads through calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and other communication channels.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed admissions.
- Conduct effective follow-ups and maintain a healthy lead pipeline.
- Handle objections and confidently close admissions.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly admission targets.
- Maintain accurate lead, counselling, and admission records in CRM.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Support junior counsellors with effective counselling and conversion techniques.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Academic, and Operations teams.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, webinars, and promotional activities.




- Prepare regular reports on leads, follow-ups, conversions, and admissions.

REQUIREMENTS

- 1–3 years of experience in EdTech, Academic Counselling, Education Sales, Inside Sales, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent counselling, persuasion, negotiation, and closing abilities.
- Proven ability to achieve admission or sales targets.
- Strong follow-up and relationship-management skills.
- Good understanding of CRM and lead-management systems.
- Target-oriented and result-driven mindset.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Fluency in Malayalam and English preferred.
