ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Website Designer to take ownership of our website design, development, optimization, and maintenance initiatives.

The ideal candidate will combine solid UI/UX design and web development expertise with hands-on experience in WordPress, CMS platforms, static website development, SEO, AEO, and GEO. You will be responsible for creating responsive, engaging, accessible, and performance-driven digital experiences aligned with business and brand objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and develop modern, responsive, and user-centric websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
- Build, customize, manage, and maintain websites using WordPress and other CMS platforms.
- Develop and maintain static websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Convert business requirements, wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into functional and visually consistent web interfaces.
- Create website layouts, landing pages, navigation structures, forms, and interactive components aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Apply SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices to improve visibility across search engines, answer engines, and AI-powered search platforms.
- Implement on-page and technical SEO practices, including metadata, heading structures, internal linking, structured data, image optimization, sitemaps, and redirects.
- Optimize websites for page speed, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Configure and manage WordPress themes, plugins, integrations,



updates, backups, and basic website security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues related to layouts, broken links, plugin conflicts, responsiveness, functionality, and performance.
- Conduct website reviews and audits to identify opportunities to improve usability, functionality, performance, and search visibility.
- Work closely with marketing, content, development, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver website initiatives within timelines.
- Maintain consistency across visual design, branding, content presentation, navigation, and overall user experience.
- Stay updated with developments in web technologies, UI/UX, SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI-driven search, incorporating relevant practices into website initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Web Design & Development

- Strong hands-on experience with WordPress and CMS platforms.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first web design.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining static and dynamic websites.
- Working knowledge of hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, website migration, deployment, and basic server concepts.
- Familiarity with Git/version control is an advantage.

UI/UX Design

- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, usability, information architecture, user flows, visual hierarchy, typography, and design systems.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent UI/UX tools.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs.
- Ability to translate user and business requirements into intuitive and engaging interfaces.
- Understanding of accessibility and user-centered design practices.

SEO, AEO & GEO





- Practical understanding of On-Page SEO and Technical SEO.
- Knowledge of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and content structuring for answer-based and conversational search.
- Understanding of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and website optimization for AI-powered and generative search platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
- Knowledge of schema markup, indexing, crawlability, canonicalization, redirects, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt.

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, Divi, or similar WordPress page builders.
- Basic knowledge of PHP, WordPress theme/plugin customization, and WooCommerce.
- Understanding of website security, caching, image optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
- Knowledge of CRO and landing-page optimization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar design tools.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Website Design, Web Development, UI/UX, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Web Design, UI/UX, Computer Science, IT, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in WordPress, CMS, UI/UX, responsive, static, and energetic website projects.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, creative-thinking, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
