Job Title: SDET – Software Development Engineer in Test

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled SDET (EL2) with strong experience in Test Automation, API Testing, Playwright/Selenium/Cypress, Azure, Kubernetes, SQL Validation, CI/CD, and QA Framework Design.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automation solutions, validating APIs and databases, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the quality and reliability of cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web and API applications.
- Create automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and/or Cypress.
- Perform comprehensive API testing for RESTful and microservices-based applications.
- Validate API request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, error handling, and data integrity.
- Perform SQL/database validation to verify backend data and business logic.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Test applications deployed on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes environments.
- Validate microservices and containerized applications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, document, and track defects through their complete lifecycle.
- Develop reusable test components, utilities, libraries, and automation scripts.
- Maintain test data and automation environments.
- Analyze automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and QA teams.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation coding standards.
- Continuously improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and overall QA processes.

Required Technical SkillsTest Automation





- Strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.
- Experience with one or more automation frameworks:
- Playwright
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Ability to develop maintainable and reusable automation scripts.
- Experience with Page Object Model and other automation design patterns.
- Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation.

API Testing

- Strong experience in API Testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Ability to validate:
- HTTP methods and status codes
- Request/response payloads
- Headers
- Authentication/authorization
- Error scenarios
- Response time
- Data integrity

Azure & Kubernetes

- Good hands-on experience testing applications deployed on Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of cloud-based application testing.
- Basic to good knowledge of Kubernetes environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot test failures involving pods, services, deployments, and application environments.
- Understanding of containerized application architectures.

SQL & Database Validation

- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience validating backend/database data.
- Ability to write queries involving joins, filters, aggregations, and subqueries.
- Experience performing data reconciliation and backend validation.
- Understanding of database testing and data integrity.

CI/CD

- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Azure DevOps




- Jenkins
- GitHub Actions
- GitLab CI/CD
- Understanding of automated test execution as part of build and deployment pipelines.
- Experience generating and analyzing automation test reports.

QA Framework Design

- Experience designing or enhancing QA/Test Automation Frameworks.
- Knowledge of:

- Keyword-driven testing
- Modular/reusable automation
- Configuration management
- Test reporting
- Parallel execution
- Ability to build frameworks that are scalable and easy to maintain.
