Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Plastic Parts, Systems, and Tooling to achieve business objectives related to cost, supply continuity, technology, and risk management. Build a competitive and resilient supplier ecosystem through strategic partnerships, localization, and commercial optimization.
Key Result Areas
Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies for plastics.
Manage and strengthen the supplier base, including alternate source development.
Achieve cost reduction targets through negotiation, value engineering, localization, and benchmarking.
Mitigate raw material price impact and supply chain risks.
Identify and adopt competitive product and process technologies.
Ensure timely supplier onboarding and readiness for current projects.
Drive supplier capacity planning to support business growth.
Improve sourcing efficiencies through process improvements, digitization, and DWM.
Increase common sourcing opportunities across businesses.
Drive sustainability, compliance, and responsible sourcing initiatives.
Lead commodity budgeting, forecasting, and spend management.
Leverage market intelligence and spend analytics to improve sourcing decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and innovation parameters.
Enhance internal customer and supplier experience through effective stakeholder management.




Build a high-performing team through capability development and employee engagement.
Act as the subject matter expert for plastics and advise on sourcing, localization, capacity expansion, and technology adoption

Engineering Graduate (Plastics/ Mechanical/ Production) + MBA (preferred)

General Experience
4 to 7 yrs experience (for smaller commodity we do consider GET/GATs with 1 yrs exp

Supplier Assessment & Evaluation on cost, quality, delivery parameters
Suppliers Risk assessment on Finance, Safety & Labor relations
Process knowledge & Commercial acumen,
Automotive Plastic Supplier Base & Networking with plastic part & RM suppliers
