About the role

Software Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans for Python, React.js, and Power BI applications. Works part‑time on a co‑located team, collaborating closely with development and data teams to ensure product quality.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Python for back‑end services.
- Create UI test suites for React.js components using modern test frameworks.
- Validate Power BI dashboards against business requirements and data integrity.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and track resolution through the defect lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers to define testable requirements and review code changes.
- Optimize test coverage and performance benchmarks for continuous integration pipelines.
- Mentor junior testers on best practices and testing tools.

Required qualifications





- 5–10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Python and React.js.
- Proficiency in writing automated tests using PyTest, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience validating Power BI reports and data models.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working in a co‑located, cross‑functional team environment.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of TypeScript and contemporary React testing libraries (React Testing Library, Cypress).
- Experience with data quality tools or ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Certifications such as ISTQB or Microsoft Power BI certification.
