The Role
- We’re seeking a qualified lawyer with hands-on GST litigation/advisory experience to support appellate work and departmental proceedings.
- Also open for a Legal Intern (3rd year LL.B.) with demonstrable exposure to GST litigation (see Requirements below).
Key Responsibilities
- Draft petitions and related pleadings for filing before GSTAT (GST Appellate Tribunal).
- Assist seniors during representations/hearings before GSTAT.
- Prepare appeal paper books and submissions for the First Appellate Authority.
- Assist clients in responding to departmental notices during inquiry, investigation, and audit.
- Draft replies to show-cause notices (SCNs) and departmental audit observations.
- Attend personal hearings before department authorities in SCN and appeal matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and maintain current awareness of GST and allied laws.
- Contribute to the firm’s knowledge management and precedent bank.
Requirements (Must‑have)
For Associate (Full-time Lawyer):
- LL.B. with enrolment to practice in India.
- 1-2 years of demonstrable experience in GST litigation and/or GST advisory.
- Excellent legal drafting and oral communication skills.
- Solid analytical and research capabilities; familiarity with legal databases.
- In‑depth understanding of GST laws, rules, notifications, and circulars.
For Legal Intern (3rd year LL.B.):
- Ongoing LL.B. (3rd year) with prior exposure to GST litigation/advisory (e.g., internships, moot/
