Role Description The Junior Sous Chef at Octa Food is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role supports the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including preparing and cooking menu items, organizing workstations, and ensuring food is produced according to recipes and quality standards.

The Junior Sous

Chef helps supervise kitchen staff during service, assists with stock rotation and inventory, and contributes to maintaining hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in all food preparation areas. The role also involves participating in menu development, suggesting improvements for healthy dishes,



and working closely with the team to deliver timely and consistent service.

Qualifications

- Ability to prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistent standard, with a strong interest in healthy cuisine.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including station setup, food storage, and inventory handling.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and proper sanitation practices.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and support senior kitchen staff.
- Basic menu planning skills and willingness to contribute ideas for nutritious and appealing dishes.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively during busy service periods.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a restaurant or catering environment & bulk Cooking.
- Culinary education, vocational training, or relevant certification is beneficial.
