Role Description This full-time, on-site role for Assistant/Associate/Professor in Aeronautical Engineering is based at Joy University in Tirunelveli. The faculty member will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in aeronautical and related engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with academic standards and accreditation requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing and conducting lectures, labs, and tutorials; mentoring and advising students on academic and career pathways; and supervising student projects and theses.

The role also involves pursuing independent and collaborative research, publishing in peer-reviewed venues, and securing research funding where possible.



Additional duties include participating in departmental committees, curriculum development, industry outreach, and contributing to continuous improvement of teaching and assessment practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering with expertise in areas such as aircraft structures, aerodynamics, propulsion, flight mechanics, or avionics.
- Demonstrated ability to teach core and advanced engineering courses using clear, engaging, and student-centered instructional methods.
- Active research profile or transparent potential for research, including publications, conference presentations, or industry-oriented projects.
- Effective communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical academic practices.
- Relevant academic qualifications, typically a Master’s degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering (Ph.D. preferred or in progress), and eligibility for appointment at Assistant/Associate/Professor level as per institutional norms.
- Experience with modern engineering tools, simulation software, laboratory equipment, and outcome-based education frameworks is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to contribute to departmental administration, accreditation activities, outreach, and continuous curriculum enhancement.
