Work Mode - Hybrid (3 days from Office weekly)

Shift Timings - UK Shift (12:30 to 10/1:30 to 11 PM IST)

Qualification - CA OR ACCA is a must

n

Experience - Min 5+ years in UK region into Finance role.

Position Overview – Finance Controller

n

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial management and control of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, and effective financial planning. The role provides leadership across cash management, budgeting and forecasting, operational finance, month-end accounting, and statutory compliance while partnering with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. As a key member of the finance team, the Finance Controller drives financial discipline, process improvements, and operational excellence to support business growth and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

n

n
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles across the business.
n
- Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to develop accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
n
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
n
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and performance analysis.
n

Financial Reporting & Management Accounting

n

n
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
n
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal postings, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and financial analysis.
n
- Provide meaningful financial insights and commentary to management on business performance.
n
- Maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

n

n




- Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
n
- Monitor cash movements and working capital performance to support business objectives.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve cash management and financial efficiency.
n

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Oversight

n

n
- Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
n
- Monitor debtor balances and support effective credit control and collections activities.
n
- Review payment cycles and supplier balances to ensure effective working capital management.
n

Audit & Compliance

n

n
- Support statutory audit activities and act as a key contact for auditors where required.
n
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal policies.
n
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
n
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and governance processes.
n

Stakeholder Management

- Build strong relationships with senior management and operational teams.
n
- Present financial information in a clear and concise manner to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
n
- Provide financial guidance and challenge where appropriate to improve business performance.

Process Improvement

n

- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting.
n
- Drive standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement across finance operations.
n
- Support finance transformation and automation initiatives where applicable.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Completed accounting qualification (ACCA or CA).
n
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and risk management.
n
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
n
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate financial information effectively.
n
