Position Name: Support – Tooling Location: Sinnar Function: Tooling Sub Function: Tooling Manager / Individual Contributor: Individual Contributor ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Next Level or Skip Level Supervisor / Manager: Lead Tooling Immediate Supervisor / Manager: Section Incharge – Tooling Position: Support – Tooling Number of Positions Reporting to the Role: 0 PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To look after the tooling activities in a section of the manufacturing process so as to fulfill the production requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Key responsibilities attached to the role: • To adhere to monthly tooling provision plan in line with PPC plan. • Responsible for tooling activities in all the processes, i.e. Ring Forming, Hobbing & Induction Hardening. • Planning activities for P.M. & new tooling procurement. • Critical spare management. • Responsible to control tooling-related breakdowns. • Responsible to train the recent associates in Tool Room department.



• Responsible for reduction in tool cost, i.e. Hobs & Tooth Chamfer Cutters. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY & GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE Financial Accountability (with exclusive authority): NA Geographical Scope: Sinnar SECTION VII: KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Education Qualification: • BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Technical & Professional Knowledge Required: • Tooling-related knowledge. • Knowledge of SMED. • Knowledge of Hobbing and Induction Hardening processes. • AutoCAD knowledge. • Hob & Cutter tool-related knowledge. Experience Required: 1–2 years of experience in the following: • Tooling activities. • Training operators/associates. • Knowledge of tool repairing, maintenance, P.M. & AutoCAD. Essential RLC for the Role: • Team Management. • Time Management. • Self-Motivated.
