What Youll Be Doing (position summary):
Designs, builds, and maintains Power BI reporting and analytics solutions that enable Operations and business teams to make data-driven decisions. Works with stakeholders to define requirements and KPIs, translates needs into curated datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and actionable insights, and contributes to the data foundation through SQL and Databricks (light-to-medium transformations and curated data layers) as needed. Ensures analytics assets are accurate, performant, well-governed, and easy to use.
How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):
- Partner with Operations and business stakeholders to understand processes, KPIs, and reporting needs; translate requirements into user-friendly analytics solutions.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports with robust visual design, performance optimization, and clear storytelling for executive and operational audiences, including building reusable measures, KPI cards, and (where appropriate) leveraging custom visuals/components to improve usability.




- Build curated datasets and analytical models using SQL and Databricks (e.g., notebooks/ETL/ELT) to support trusted, reusable reporting and self-service analytics.
- Design semantic models in Power BI (data modeling, relationships, measures) and develop robust DAX calculations (measures, time intelligence, and reusable KPI logic) aligned to agreed KPI definitions.
- Implement data quality checks, reconciliation, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and consistency across sources, models, and reports.
- Apply governance and security best practices (workspace/dataset access, row-level security where applicable), documentation, and change control for analytics products.
- Perform exploratory analysis to derive insights, identify trends/anomalies, and provide recommendations that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- Enable self-service analytics by creating curated datasets, data dictionaries, and usage guida
