Key Responsibilities

- Manage the procurement of engineering raw materialmaterials, components, tools, consumables, and other production-related requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and analyse quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement as per production and project requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to monitor order status, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Stores, Design, and other departments to understand material requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations, and related reports.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives through supplier development, negotiation, and alternate sourcing.




- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and quality standards.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, material shortages, quality discrepancies, and commercial matters.
- Assist in developing and maintaining an approved supplier/vendor base.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in purchasing in a heavy engineering or manufacturing setting will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of heavy engineering materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, vendor-management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase Management systems.
- Strong follow-up skills with attention to cost, quality, and delivery.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
