About MB SendMB Send is building a new generation of cross-border payments and financial infrastructure, initially connecting Europe and Africa, with a long-term strategy extending into India, Brazil and other emerging markets.

Our initial focus is on making international payments more accessible, secure and compliant, while building the technology and infrastructure required to support individuals, businesses and financial partners across multiple markets.

MB Send is currently in its company-building and pre-launch stage, with product development, technology architecture and strategic partnerships being prepared alongside ongoing discussions with investors.

We are now looking for a Founding CTO to join the founding leadership team and take ownership of the technology vision and execution.

The OpportunityThis is not a conventional CTO position within an established company.

You will be joining at an early stage and will have the opportunity to help define the technology architecture, engineering organization and long-term technical strategy of MB Send from the ground up.

The Founding CTO will work directly with the Founder and other founding executives, helping translate the company's business and regulatory strategy into a secure, scalable and reliable technology platform.

What You Will OwnTechnology Strategy

- Define and own MB Send's overall technology strategy and architecture.
- Translate business objectives into a practical technology roadmap.
- Establish technical standards, engineering processes and development practices.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and strategic technology partners.

Payments Infrastructure
- Design the architecture for cross-border payment processing.
- Help define the Payment Engine, Rules Engine, Ledger and transaction lifecycle.
- Design systems for reconciliation, settlement, transaction monitoring and auditability.
- Build scalable APIs and integration layers for banks, EMIs, payment institutions and payout partners.
- Support future integrations with mobile money, bank accounts and other payment networks.

Security & Reliability
- Establish cybersecurity and data-protection principles from the beginning.
- Design systems for high availability, resilience and disaster recovery.
- Implement appropriate monitoring,



logging and observability.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams on technology requirements.

Engineering Organization
- Build and lead the initial engineering team.
- Define engineering roles and hiring priorities.
- Establish development, testing, deployment and documentation standards.
- Develop a culture of ownership, accountability and technical excellence.

Product & Business
- Work closely with the Founder, product and operations teams.
- Participate in product and architecture decisions.
- Help evaluate technology requirements for new markets and payment corridors.
- Support technical discussions with investors, banks, financial institutions and technology partners.

What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a senior technology leader who combines technical depth, fintech experience and executive-level thinking. Required / Strongly Preferred

- Significant experience in software engineering and technology leadership.
- Previous experience as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Strong experience in FinTech, payments, banking technology or financial infrastructure.
- Experience designing scalable transactional systems.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, databases and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with payment processing, ledgers, reconciliation or transaction systems.
- Robust understanding of cybersecurity and application security.
- Experience building and managing engineering teams.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives and investors.
- Strong strategic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an early-stage environment.

Particularly Valuable
- Experience with cross-border payments or remittances.
- Experience with India's payments ecosystem, including UPI or related infrastructure.
- Experience integrating with banks, EMIs, payment institutions or payment service providers.




- Experience with mobile-money ecosystems.
- Experience with KYC/AML technology integrations.
- Experience working with regulated financial institutions.
- Experience in international or multi-market fintech businesses.
- Previous startup or scale-up leadership experience.
