Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, manage, and maintain databases.

Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health.

Perform database backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.

Ensure database security, access control, permissions, and data integrity.

Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues.

Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and overall database performance.

Manage database users, roles, and permissions.

Perform database upgrades, patches, migrations, and maintenance.

Implement and maintain replication and high-availability solutions.

Automate routine DBA tasks and operational processes.

Maintain database documentation and procedures.

Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, and IT teams.

Ensure reliability and availability of critical production databases.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SQL and Database Administration.

Experience with AWS RDS and cloud database environments.

Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server.

Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.

Good understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.

Knowledge of database security,



access management, and data integrity.

Experience in production database troubleshooting.

Understanding of replication, high availability, and failover concepts.

Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and basic scripting.

Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

Experience in an IT / SaaS / Product-based environment.

Experience managing databases on AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Exposure to database automation and monitoring tools.

Experience supporting high-volume or critical production databases.
